WHY IS THERE A LAYER OF OIL ON TOP OF MY ALMOND BUTTER?

We do not (ever!) blend in palm oils, stabilizers or added sugars when crafting Magosero products! It is a natural process that the oils (those that are natually occuring in almonds and other cold-pressed seed oils we add) separate from the nut butter paste. The oil will raise to the top of the jar over time. But remember: this golden-green coloured seed oil contains high nutritional value - both the almond and hempseed oils. These have high levels of mono- and polyunsaturated fatty acids as well as Omega-3 essential fatty acids! So don't waste it by pouring it out of the jar! We recommend stiring up the almond butter well with a knife or spoon to get a nice, creamy consistency before use - wheather you want to spread it on toasts or just eat it straight from the pack!

WHAT IS REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE?

It is holistic and organic farming practice using techniques like cover cropping, conservation tillage, rotational grazing among others with the overarching aim to increase the carbon cycle and soil fertility over time. As a result regenerative agriculture produces more nutritious food than conventional agriculture and it does not release, but sequesters carbon below and above ground helping to mitigate climate change. Regenerative Agriculture builds upon the achievements of Organic Agriculture and brings it forwards with additional techniques aimed for achieving higher levels of biomass, biodiversity and soil organic matter on the farmland.

WHY REGENERATIVE ALMONDS ARE BETTER FOR CONSUMERS?

Regenerative, rain‐fed almonds improve – and not deplete – soil fertility year after year. By applying regenerative farming techniques soil fertility increases, which results in higher nut quality and better nutritional value for consumers!
